The Beginning was the 1st celestial monarch, reigning during the years 23-500. Her rule was succeeded by that of the Cunning.
She was the first celestial to emerge from the Liriodendron tree, and established herself as the first ruler of all Humans, Monsters, and Winged. Her closest winged companion was Pictor, who was also the first Winged prince.
Little else is currently known about her.

- During her era, the moon was yellow-colored and nighttime was simply called "Nights".
- The circlet crown she's depicted with was later worn by the Unseen, and is currently worn by the Queen.
